Our café is especially renown locally for its home made cakes. Not to be missed at the end of a tour of the museum when you need to recharge your batteries. The Museum’s volunteers operate a small café in the visitor centre serving:
- Canned drinks
- Light refreshments
- Freshly filled rolls
- No hot or heated food is on the menu.
- The museum does not hold a licence for the serving of alcohol.
The café has plenty of inside seating or you can enjoy your refreshments on one of the picnic tables in the grounds. The café is open until 30 minutes before the museum closes.
Ask before you eat.
If you or a member of your party has a food allergy or intolerance it is important that you inform our café staff before you place an order.
We have a microwave to heat baby food and a high chair is available on request.
BRING YOUR OWN PICNIC
Bring your own picnic.
A family picnic can be a key part of a memorable day out and we have picnic tables in different parts of the museum’s picturesque grounds. When the weather is less kind, picnics may be eaten in the visitor centre (capacity permitting).
HIRING THE VISITORS CENTRE
Those hiring the visitor centre are welcome to use the museum’s small kitchen, but please check that we can meet your needs.
Queries should please be raised when you make a booking or later addressed to: firstname.lastname@example.org.
