The Trustees are delighted that the efforts of Volunteers at the Waterworks Museum have been recognised with the Museum being listed as a finalist in the 2016 Visit Herefordshire Awards for Excellence (Best Visitor Attraction) and look forward to the award ceremony event at Eastnor Castle on 20th September 2016.
The Museum enjoyed a record attendance in 2015 including a growth in family group visits following the opening of The Noel Meeke Heritage Water Park in July 2015, which is the only facility of its kind for children in the UK.
2016 has also been a good year, as evidenced by excellent attendance at the Annual Gala Day on Sunday 31 July 2016, at which the Mayor of Hereford, Councillor Jim Kenyon, officially opened two new engine displays.
In August, the Museum will be open every Tuesday 11am - 4pm (not in steam), including a summer holiday event for younger children on 23rd August (Teddy Bears Picnic - trail, quiz and fun). The Museum will also be open and in-steam in Sunday 14th, Sunday 28th and Monday 29th August (1pm - 4pm).
